A TALE FROM THE DEPTHS OF A BIPOLAR MIND
by Gray Chavannes
“I
went nowhere. I did nothing. And I still got lost.”
So opens “A Tale from the Depths of a
Bipolar Mind” an autobiography written by Woodland resident Gray
Chavannes. Gray tells of his journey from early childhood when at age 11,
“The Voice” came to live in his head, arguing with him on every action,
and winning every argument in the process. Gray didn’t tell anyone about
this voice for 26 years rather he tried drowning it out with alcohol and
drugs which further aggravated his condition. Diagnosed at age 29 with
bipolar disorder with psychotic features. Gray spares little as he unfolds
the story of his descent into psychosis and his journey towards recovery.
Read his entire autobiography which he hopes to have published.
